Right front, I'll admit that if you have Canon shooter, not a money problem, you should go ahead and get the F1.2 version.

However, if you have not yet been decided, by all means check out this comparison, because this new lens has gotten the attention of some "pixel peeping"experts in terms of its excellent performance.

Personally, I was interested to release the perfect focal length and aperture for portraits. At f1.4, you get superb Bokeh, as good as more expensive lenses. And that's the goal of portrait photographers.

However, apart from the portraits, there are two other aspects of a very fast medium telephoto lens.

is the first indoor sports. wide open mouth will get some very fast shutter speeds in low light on events such as basketball (my personal favorite). I have used my Canon 70-200 F4.0 lens with mediocre results. Sigma 85mm f1.4 with its HSM (hypersonic motor) is "the cat's meow"in this type of lights and action.

to second place this lens really shines when you use the video function on your digital SLR. Prime lenses are so good picture quality, making it look absolutely amazing video. Again, the bokeh in the video (if taken on a wide open aperture) will look smooth and professional.

Tests against Canon and Nikon are placed on the Sigma lens is equal to or slightly below the same image quality. And Sigma has worked hard to gain the trust of professional photographic community.

This handy lens worthy of your attention.
