Top 5 Ultimate Techniques For Taking Dancing Photos

Have you always wanted to capture the excitement and emotions of dance? Would you like some simple steps to enable it to be a great dance photos?

If the answer is yes to these questions, then read on.

1 Take your photos with a low angle position. That in itself will produce an exciting image that will stand out. If you are taking photos at a wedding, they will often be a place devorated worked out, so make sure you have the background detail in the photo.

Do not be tempted to use the zoom - in a crowded dance floor, other people will get in the way of you and the person you are trying to photograph. Be sure and get close to people who want to capture. You may have to stand among the dancers to get the right shot.

2 To get the most dynamic images for dance, you move around on the floor - do not be tempted to just shoot with one hand. It is a common trap that many photographers fall in. Secondly, if you want to capture one or two people inparticular, do not separate them to others. Would you like to try and capture the excitement of other dancers as well.

Take photos of unsual angles. If you are lucky enough to be using a digital camera that has a rotating screen, then it will allow you to hold the camera high above your head and take a photo looking down on the dancers. By contrast, you can paint with a waist level, looking up at the dancers. Even if you do not have a camera with a rotating screen, try shooting from this position anyway -. You'll be surprised to learn that you'll still get some good results

3 You will need to use flash, but do not use internal flash as well as produces a very flat lighting. Use of the outdoor unit remotes, and get someone to move with you, and keep the flash. Another advantage of the outdoor unit, it is the flash away from the lens, you will not get red eyes that appear in your photos. Let's face it, red-eye function on the camera rarely works anyway.
If you have not already sold on the benefits of using an external remote flash, also keep in mind that you will be able to shoot longer distances - internal flash hardly have a range of 4 meters

.

4 For some of your dance photos, try using a slow shutter speed. Now this may seem strange, but I hear it out. With a slower shutter speed, and introduce a small amount of blur in the background shot, capturing movement, still getting a clear picture of the dancers in the middle frame.

5 In the end, I always advise using a tripod. This is useful if you followed the movement of people across the dance floor, driving performance, and also produces better shots when using slow shutter speeds.
